Beyblade String Launcher

Beyblade was a Japanese manga series released in 1999 by illustrator Takao Aoki which depicted kids forming teams to battle with spinning tops called Beyblades. Beyblade Burst and accessories were sold around the world for Hasbro as toys for all. The game play was simple and the battles could be repeated multiple times as interactive toys.

What is a string launcher?

A string launcher is the device used to power the bey's ability to spin faster and longer. The string launcher enables the user to place the Beyblade Burst in the insert and simply pull the holder connected to a string to let it rip. The string within the device is coiled around a gear that becomes instantly untwisted, causing the insert holding the top to spin rapidly onto a Beystadium or arena placed below the players.

What are the different kinds of Beyblades used for launchers?

There are various types of Beyblades available of which include:

  • Metal Fusion, also known as Metal Fight Beyblade in Japan.
  • Metal Masters, also known as Metal Fight Beyblade Explosion in Japan.
  • Metal Fury, also known as Metal Fight Beyblade 4D in Japan.
  • Beyblade Burst, a series released after the Metal Fight saga.
How does the launcher work?

The device is made merely for connecting a Beyblade to the launcher and pulling the rip string to spin the bey into a beystadium or arena safely. A string launcher retracts the string on its own after each use, leaving no string or material exposed. Beyblade Burst duel toys are intended for ages 8 and up.

How is a launcher used in a duel?

A launcher is a piece of equipment used in a duel of three rounds to induce speed, attack, defense, and power of a bey. To use the launcher in game play simply:

  • Place Beyblade in the insert of the launcher.
  • Hold launcher above arena or stadium.
  • Hold the grip with one hand and pull the string of launcher by the holder.
  • Let the bey land in arena or stadium to spin until knocked out of arena or spinning ceases. Beyblade Burst may burst into pieces but can be reassembled in moments.
Do string launchers come with any other pieces?

A typical string launcher will be one piece with exception to the Beyblade Burst toys. Launchers may come with an extension called a grip that will help make launching easier with two hands. The grip attaches to the launcher with an insert that allows the launcher to slide into the grip.
