Volkswagen Beetle Cars

Volkswagen Beetle Cars

First manufactured back in 1938 by German company Volkswagen, the Beetle is one of the world’s most iconic cars. While the original Volkswagen Beetle saw its heyday in the 1960s and 70s, a new model was relaunched in 2000 across Australia. Underneath its characteristic body, 2000 Volkswagen Beetle cars have a modified Volkswagen Golf platform with enhanced mechanical features in keeping with today’s technology, but they’ve retained the retro features and style that are synonymous with the name, resulting in an attractive hatchback for modern lifestyles.

Compact Hatchback

The Volkswagen Beetle competes with modern-day hatchbacks in terms of manoeuvrability, comfort, and storage area. There’s plenty of legroom and space for up to four passengers in its three-door models, with 50/50 split-fold rear seats to increase storage capacity on shopping trips or out-of-town adventures.

Retro Features

Modern Volkswagen Beetle cars have retained their cute shape and a number of interior features that offer nostalgic styling. Retro-modern gauges combine with a Käferfach heritage-inspired glove box, together with comfortable seating in either cloth or leatherette fabrics. Take advantage of customisable ambient lighting with the option to change the colours throughout the cabin to add your unique touch.

Cabriolet Style

Enjoy the open-air and sunshine in the Volkswagen Beetle cabriolet model with a vintage-style soft-top which folds down. Just unclip the buttons on the top of the windscreen and let the motors do the lifting for you, lending a modern twist to this retro-styled feature.

Manual-Automatic Features

Newer versions, such as 2016 Volkswagen Beetle cars feature a Tiptronic manual-shift function in their automatics, allowing you to shift gears as you would with a manual transmission. Maintain control over your car’s gears whilst retaining the safety features that will upshift or downshift when you reach certain parameters.
