Yamaha Quads

All-terrain vehicles are more commonly known as quad bikes. They're designed to be safely ridden over almost any terrain, and are particularly popular for farm use and sports. Quad bikes and motorcycles are also popular as a fun holiday activity in rural and beach areas. The Japanese manufacturing giant Yamaha began manufacturing motorcycles after WWII, and the trusted brand turned its expertise to involve quad bikes too. Yamaha motorcycles and quad bikes incorporate years of experience and expertise in the motorcycle industry with regular upgrades to favourite models in order to improve function and performance.

Yamaha Quads Function

Quad bikes operate like a motorcycle, but the two extra wheels provide far more stability, meaning the driver doesn't need to be as concerned about balance. The majority have three or four wheels, although some models have six. Running on engines from 49cc to 1,000cc, they have plenty of power for functions across varying terrain.

Yamaha Banshee 350

One of the most popular and iconic quad bikes is the Yamaha Banshee 350. Released in 1987, it features a twin-stroke engine and 350cc. It was heavy and a little difficult to ride in dirt; however, it proved to be ideal for sand dune riding. Sold until 2012, it was highly popular amongst enthusiasts.

Yamaha Raptor for Sport

The quad market tends to have two main categories: sport and utility, such as farming. The Yamaha Raptor is a very popular sporting model. Its design is big, bold and aggressive, and its function isn't far behind, packing 686cc of liquid-cooled, fuel-injected power. Advanced suspension keeps the rider comfortable on all kinds of terrain, and despite the Raptor's power, it's incredibly lightweight. It weighs just 192 kilogrammes and has a hybrid steel aluminium frame.

Yamaha Quads for Farming and Utility

At the other end of the Yamaha market are quads for work use. These take into account the fact that farmers and workers will be using these day in, day out, and in all kinds of weather. Features, such as heated seats, grips and thumb warmers, mean you can be out all day even in the harshest conditions. Storage compartments and rear racks make it easy to store and transport supplies. Electronic power steering provides steering assist.
