Low-top adidas I-5923: retro runners for the streets today

Rebranded Iniki Runners
Drawing inspiration from classic adidas runners from the 70s and 80’s, these low-top adidas I-5923 sneakers have a retro styled silhouette with an updated modern feel. With new stretchy mesh material uppers and wedge-shaped midsole cushioning, the revised adidas I-5923 kicks put a modern spin on an existing design.
A classic three stripe look
Flaunting an upper reminiscent of the adidas Dragon or Gazelle, the I-5923 low-top sneakers still maintain the classic look with the three stripes on a neoprene or mesh upper and overlays in suede or nubuck. And the signature sneaker style of the I-5923 sees it dressed in the classic adidas colour scheme of basic black over white. However, there are some different colour variants such as red or blue for those wanting something different.
The adidas I-5923 also has a heel-to-toe Boost-enhanced midsole which gives the old-school Iniki silhouette a much more contemporary vibe. Rounding out the revamped Iniki sneakers, the webbed outsole is gum rubber in a matching hue for a truly balanced look.
The adidas N-5923 alternative
A streamlined version of the adidas I-5923 with similar design aesthetics was also created and released around the same time. Branded as an adidas N-5923, the three-stripe logo is this time on a synthetic upper and has a shiny tongue. The most notable difference between them is the adidas N-5923 does not have a Boost midsole.
