adidas ZX 500 RM: Double speak sneakers of 1984

The updated and rereleased version of the classic adidas ZX 500 low-top from the 1980s, is now dubbed the ZX 500 RM. While the famous look has been visibly refreshed while retaining that retro charm, it’s the features under the hood which have seen the most upgrade.

Historically retro 80s

The original ZX 500 shoe was released way back in 1984. More versatile running sneakers were increasing in demand. They needed to withstand any type of running thrown at it, from tedious ultra-marathons to hiking over all kinds of tricky terrain. The adidas ZX 500 answered that call with additional rear stability thanks to the extended heel counter with a well-designed meshed nylon upper accentuated by handsome suede overlays.
