How Best Price Guarantee works
If you've bought any new, 'Buy It Now' item but then found the item for less on an approved online retail website, let our customer service team know within 48 hours of the original purchase on eBay.com.au.
We'll check that your item qualifies, and if it does, we'll give you a voucher for the price difference plus 5% of the online retail site's price, which you can use towards your next purchase on eBay.com.au.
For example, if you bought an item on eBay for $100, but then found it on an approved online retail website for $90, we'll give you a voucher for $14.50 (i.e. $10 price difference, plus 5% of the online retail site's price of $90).
To make a Best Price Guarantee claim, you'll need to have the following details handy:
- eBay item ID relating to the original purchase of the qualifying item
- URL link to the identical item on the approved online retail website
We also recommend that you take a screenshot of the item on the approved online retail website in case the price has changed since your purchase.
Qualifying for eBay Best Price Guarantee
To qualify for the eBay Best Price Guarantee, you need to be a registered eBay member, buy the item on eBay.com.au and have it delivered to an Australian address.
The item also needs to be:
- Fixed price ("Buy It Now")
- New and unopened
- Currently in stock, and identical to the product advertised on an approved online retail website.
