At eBay, we want our customers to shop with confidence. The Verified Seller badge is another way we help buyers make informed purchase decisions. The badge indicates that the seller has verified specific information about their account on eBay.
Tip
The Verified Seller badge is currently only visible to a small number of buyers, though we plan to expand to all buyers globally soon.
Who gets the Verified Seller badge?
We are currently testing the Verified Seller badge with some eBay sellers who have confirmed specific information about their account on eBay. Currently there is no way to opt in for the badge.
As we test and expand, the Verified Seller badge may be removed or repositioned on listings, but this is not an indication of changes in the seller's verification status. The Verified Seller badge is not a guarantee that a seller is trustworthy, nor is it an indication of a seller's performance on eBay. It is a way for buyers to see which sellers have taken steps to confirm specific information on eBay.
Buyers should still always exercise good judgment when shopping on eBay. For more info, see our page on avoiding seller fraud.
