To make sure buyers have a clear understanding of postage costs and delivery times, sellers must provide accurate information in their listings about where their item will be sent from.
What is the policy?
- Clear and accurate information about where the item is located, including the postcode, city and country from which the item will be sent, must be included in listings
- Item location information must be consistent across all areas of the listing including title, description and item specifics
- A tracking number uploaded after an item has sold must match the dispatch location provided in the listing
Activity on eBay is required to follow this policy, the eBay User Agreement and all applicable laws, as well as respect the rights of third parties. If it doesn't, eBay may take action consistent with applicable laws and the eBay User Agreement, and may even be legally required to do so. Such actions may include, as an example only: Removing the listing or other content, issuing a warning, restricting activity or account suspension.
