Slot machines policy

Slot machines can only be listed in areas where it is legal for them to be owned by both the seller and buyer, unless they are non-functional.

This policy was updated on 18 December 2023. Our policy guidelines have not changed, but the information about activity that doesn't follow this policy has been updated for clarity.

As the sale and ownership of slot machines is restricted by some state laws, it's important to follow our guidelines.

What is the policy?

  • Any gaming or an amusement device that involves a game of chance are not allowed
  • Gambling machines/devices capable of paying out money or tokens or registering an amount of money to be paid, regardless of age or ability to function, can't be listed
  • Gambling machine parts (e.g. cabinets, circuit boards, the "wheels" with the pictures, signs, etc.) are not allowed

Activity on eBay is required to follow this policy, the eBay User Agreement and all applicable laws, as well as respect the rights of third parties. If it doesn't, eBay may take action consistent with applicable laws and the eBay User Agreement, and may even be legally required to do so. Such actions may include, as an example only: Removing the listing or other content, issuing a warning, restricting activity or account suspension.
