However, given the age of the cooker and as they have not been made for a long time, this may be the only one available. It seems to take a long time to come up to pressure and a lot of steam escapes. Once up to pressure to works well but perhaps it’s time to buy a new pressure cooker!

I bought 3 double packs, only 2 of the 6 valves worked as expected. The others allowed steam to pass around the sides of the seals or the "plunger" did not fit correctly under pressure, so were useless.
