NICE BRIDGE!
This is a nice bridge. I have replaced three Squire P-Bass bridges with this product and they were all a direct fit. My only complaint is that Hipshot tends to send different length screws at times. On two of my basses using the same bridge the screws for intonation were too long on the "E" and "A" strings to intonate property. I wrote Hipshot and they sent me !" and 3/4" screws. The 1" worked perfectly but they should send an assortment in case this happens. I have read on different forums that other bassists that have had the same problem. Other than that these bridges work flawlessly and the adjustments are much finer. I like the ability to be able to move the strings from side to side in case you need a better line up on you pickup pole pieces.This is a nice bridge. This bridge is nice, does exactly what it should do and sounds great. I am happy with it. I will say it’s overpriced for what it is. This product should really be no more than $50 UDS First thing, I did not install this on a Fender so I don’t understand the “5 Hole” thing when this bridge only has 3 holes. My old bridge only had 3 holes but in a different spacing. I had to plug and re-drill. Second, the strings buzz a bit after the saddle to the sting end. I haven’t found a solution to that yet. Third, This bridge is big! and the saddles only have ¼” of back and forth movement. You really need to measure a lot and understand your intonation before installing. It took me two time to get it right. Finally, Aluminum vs. Brass debate. My old bridge was aluminum as well but I noticeably gained ...
