Great phone - Many features
This phone has been around for quite a few years and still meets the needs of today's land line users. I bought this one to replace a previous one that got zapped by a voltage surge from a downed power line. It's caller announce feature is a true time saver in todays world of robo calls and unwanted sales and fraud calls.

Great Features - Blocks Private/Blocked Calls
We also have used this phone since they first were introduced with Ameritech. They have MANY features. But the one I like the best is that this phone will BLOCK private/blocked calls and send them to a seperate answering message, telling them you do NOT accept blocked calls!! It detects and does this on the FIRST ring!! No more private/blocked harrassing calls!!!! The only drawback so far is that we have had two phones die on us, but I'm ready to order a third.We also have used this phone since they first were introduced with Ameritech. Best phone I've ever owned.
This is by far the best phone I've ever owned. I bought my first one 12 or 13 years ago and STILL has more USEFUL features than any phone on the market today. Features I like the most are 'Call Announce' where it verbally says outloud the name and/or number calling. It also shows in the caller ID display who called AND if they left a message. No need to listen to EVERY message just to hear the ones you want with this phone. The only thing I wish this phone had that most phones these days have is built-in wireless. Easy enough to get around that though by simply buying some wireless handsets. Great phone! Business phone features (and more) for the home.This is by far the best phone I've ever owned. Nortel Meridian 9516 Phone
Have used this phone since they first were introduced with Ameritech. It is a fantastic phone and very easy to use. We run a small business and my husband doesn't have time to look up numbers so his 5 most important numbers are saved in the memory keys with dialing as quick as pushing the key. All the other numbers that we ever use are saved in the directory for quick look-up and imediate dailing once the number is found. He can even be on the phone and able to go into the directory and get a saved number without hanging the phone up. That;s been really useful when he needs me to call somewhere and it is a number we have stored. My husbands's hearing is not as good as it use to be and the receiver has volume bar to increase the sound. I am guessing we have had this phone for at least 10 ...
