Fitting suggestion
I like this product, it works well, and is properly made. However, more detailed instructions should be supplied. Note: It is essential to accurately mark with pencil where you want to affix it . Do try position with key also. The double sided tape needs to be applied accurately. Removing the backing is easy, using a fine cutting blade. Easier than with the usual double sided tape, and you get lots of tape, in case you need to reposition the item. I put tape at sides and bottom.I like this product, it works well, and is properly made. However, more detailed instructions should be supplied. Save your money and buy something else.
This is a shocking product for the price. The production cost will be 5p (if that) and you receive a small roll of thin double-sided tape and 4 pieces of cheap plastic, 2 for each keyhole. The object is to slide up one plastic element, insert your key to lock/unlock, and then slide down again. The problem is that the slider pings off the door every time it's used. Within five operations we had given up trying to find the slider on the doormat and went back to plugging the key hole with Blutac; much cheaper, more effective and does not leave a sense of being profoundly ripped off.This is a shocking product for the price. The sticky pads are not 'integrated'; instead the item is supplied with a roll of tiny double-sided tape, which one has to cut and fix oneself. The worst thing is that the slide-up part is not on runners - it is just wedged between the side pieces and so falls off almost every time it is slid up. Easy enough to pick up from floor and wedge back in again, but not ideal. Ineffective and overpriced
Two poor quality bits of plastic with very fiddly tape for attaching to the keyhole. Absolutely no good unless attaching to a completely flat surface - the slight dimpling on the metal surround on my door meant it fell off immediately!! I doubt the plastic bits would have lasted long anyway. To be honest it feels like a bit of a rip off

Problem solved!
This kit comes with an excellent instruction sheet the user will need a magnifying glass to read - follow the directions and draughty mortice keyholes are no longer draughty. What an incredible invention this is and I'm quite serious - no drilling, just clean the area with a good cleaner (we used isopropyl alcohol wipes), put the adhesive tape on the unit with the little extension 'lift' grip at the bottom, and apply to the cleaned area. The sliding cover doesn't fall out if fitted correctly and the difference this thing makes is amazing - my husband was sceptical and was ready to visit the ironmonger for something he would have to drill to fit but this simple cover works brilliantly, we no longer have to 'brace ourselves' to go through front and back vestibules.This kit comes with an excellent instruction sheet the user will need a magnifying glass to read - follow the directions and draughty mortice keyholes are no longer draughty.
