Previously only ever available in Fine-scale brass models and kits it is a very welcome addition to the collection. Good how it comes straight out of the box but can be dramatically improved with some detailing and weathering applied. The only downside I came across was the factory supplied couplings are not the correct height and would upgrade to genuine Kadee couplers.

High gloss black finish looked interestingly unusual on posted images, but in close examination is just ridiculously absurd. Model is not equipped with any lights whatsoever (?). The couplers are stiff and too low to engage American wagons. Finally, the "DCC-ready" statement is far from reality since there's no space for plug-and-play decoder without major modifications. The mechanism is fair, but in DC mode very weak, struggling to pull 5-6 wagons. 3 stars of 5 ...

I looked ALL over the internet to find this huge size, and this seller was the only one who had it. when i bought this i was in a big rush to finish before my husbBY came home. i never noticed that ebay auto-filled our post code wrong. i noticed later, and sent a panicky message to the seller. i got a reply almost immediately that they caught the mistake and fixed it before they posted the parcel!!!!! The box with the passenger carriages came in excellent condition with no damage. Considering that this order came from Australia.
