Fingersmith is an eye-opening Victorian romp through the underworld of London's pickpockets and other unsavory but fascinating characters. You will find twists and turns, ironic elements, dispicable villians, and many memorable characters. If you liked The Crimson Petal and the White, you may enjoy Fingersmith. I liked the way the author unraveled events through the two female characters' points of view. It was our book club book for the month, and everyone in the club found it to be an engaging summer read.
a little bit slow in the beginning but a wild ride the rest of the way through. 10/10

All Sarah Waters books have a tendency to draw you in and hold you captive. Fingersmith is her best book to date. The twist in the middle was something I never expected! The reason I loved this book so much was due to the love story between the two women. The movie didn't do it justice. If you enjoy Rita Mae Brown, you will absolutely love Sarah Waters' Fingersmith!
Absolutely fabulous storyline, great writing, and unpredictable plot! Wow! Ms Waters at her best! Her story and characters are very real, and the twists add to the readers' interest.
I lost a copy of this book during a move (Happens when you're in the Navy). I was glad I could find a reading copy for such a great price. I snatched it up when I saw the cheap price. It was a little frayed around the edges, but for the price it was in great condition.
