The back of the dvd describes this as "Two men from opposite sides of the world must work together to explain the unexplainable". There are 3 gruesome murders in Taiwan that their police force cannot solve and think are connected. They bring in an American FBI agent (Kevin Richter played by David Morse) to help solve the crimes. He's a specialist in serial killers. He teams up with a troubled local cop (Tony Leung). He has a bad history with their police department because he reported some misdoings by his superiors so he's disliked by his colleagues. The movie is interesting and original. They discover the crimes may be linked to a ancient cult and it's believable until the last 10 minutes. This could've been a really good movie but it fell short in the end. I love David Morse; I think he's a great and talented actor. It's a shame he's so underrated. He's the reason I bought the dvd; and I couldn't find it in any stores here in the U.S. It was made overseas so it's in Mandarin with English subtitles except the parts with David Morse - he only speaks English and all the dialogue with him in it is in English. I would've given it a 5 if it weren't for the last 10 minutes. So as a movie, it's a little disappointing. Interesting, but could've been great. As for David Morse - he's never disappointing.Read full review
