Breathtaking size and remarkable detail, well packaged and instructions clear, great color painting examples both shown with Henshel turret and Porsche turret, (the 00910 has both regardless of what the post may say) clear location bubbles for paint identification, good selection option of decals. Even though the 00906 was touted as being the best one as it had metal parts...it only had one option for the turret, the 00910 despite the chatter has metal parts in it in, like the tow cable, but detail is great and plastics are built with great integrity so they do not break in half or stress twist when trying to remove from the shipping racks. The Trumpeter detail is tops in the model world and there is a bevy of 1/16 scale build books out there from some of the best tank model builders the world (like SUPERKING by David Parker, one I am using) that can offer an enormous advantages to building it right the first time, save time and do it in less time. Honestly though, this model takes patients to build, painting it right, with careful build planning, at like 10-15 hours a week...you'll be busy for several months...but if you want the best detailed historical referenced model the 1/16 Trumpeter is the one!!!Read full review

Let me start off by saying this is one impressive model. The model is huge. If you don't have the space to store and/or display this monster don't buy it. It has a lot of great features. Hatches that can be left open or closed, plenty of photo etched parts as well. The downside is the instruction manual. The pictures do not accurately show the parts in their correct position. There is very little in the way of a painting guide. You'll have to buy a book on the Tiger II in order to get the colors right. The instructions say one thing if you look at the side of the box with pictures you'll see what I mean. The treads are a little warped as well. After you've assembled them you will notice they have a slight arc. Not a big deal. Once they are on it will not affect the look of the tank. Overall, I have to say I enjoy the model even with it's faults. I've build this tank five times and the Jagdtiger two times. They both have similar parts on the chassis except for the canon and some interior details. Both are a pleasure to work on. Please take your time with them both as they have a lot of parts. Good luck. Read full review

You will need time to build and paint this huge tank. Complete interior. Not 100% accurate with a few details missing, but overall a neat kit to build. I compared this model to the Tiger II that was at Fort Knox (now at Fort Benning) where I was allowed to access the interior and engine compartment as well as several Tiger II books. This will keep you busy!
