Good entertainment for those who like to philosophize!
I saw this film at the cinema almost 50 years ago, and it affected me profoundly at the time. It was great to see it again. If you're someone who values movies based on the quality of the acting and/or singing, perhaps you wouldn't enthuse about it so much, but, for me, it's the storyline of this one that is so engaging. It indirectly asks questions about what makes life worthwhile, what is of value, what is illusory....important questions for us all.I saw this film at the cinema almost 50 years ago, and it affected me profoundly at the time. A very different and interesting take on Don Quixote
A really fascinating take on Don Quixote , not necessarily a great musical but a wonderful performance by Peter O'Toole as both Cervantes and Quixote . Peter O'Toole played a very troubled character in this film as he did in Lawrence of Arabia , certainly worth watching .

One of the best musicals I have seen.
Great music.and and a interesting way the story is told. The song" The impossible dream" has words in it, that are very inspiring,together with the music make it one to remember.
