This product is good to work with in giving a clean cut of soft gauge wire especially used in jewelry making. It is not recommended for hard wires.

Would not cut gauged wire like the ad said
I needed these for work to it gauges wire and plastic zip ties. Well it barely cut the zip ties. And no way was it cutting the wire. I used to use 6" ones at work and that was great. These don't waste ur money if ur trying wanting to use these for stuff other then jewelery. It's my bad for skimping out for the cheaper ones. But I never thought 1 inch would make that big of a difference. Oh well, live and learn.I needed these for work to it gauges wire and plastic zip ties. Well it barely cut the zip ties. Worthless for my use, it won't even cut plastic.
The cutting edge of this nippers doesn't close evenly, and will not cut even plastic ties, which is the reason that I purchased it for. It seems to be pretty worthless, as when you close it, one corner comes into contact, but there is still a gap in the cutting edge. So, it won't even cut plastic.
