Fragile
This set of saddles is the fourth time I have purchased Graph Tech saddles for guitars that I own. One of the saddles in this set chipped as I was trying to replace the old metal saddle on the bridge. The self lubricating feature is main reason why I buy these for my guitars. The guitars stay in tune better when I use these, but they are fragile if you don't handle them with care.

cracked, no instructions
One of the saddles cracked at the bottom while installing, seems to still be OK and I will try to strengthen up with crazy glue but beware that these saddles are fragile. In this particular bridge, the saddle screw retainers are tiny starlock washers that you have to pry off and are not reusable. I have not been able to locate replacements without ordering a bulk supply. This wasn't mentioned on the instructions because there are no instructions to be found anywhere. Graphtech has some great unique products but they overpriced for what they are. Great product for tone and tuning stability
Got these saddles for my Artcore (Ibanez's version of an ES335). The guitar has a Bigsby and had tuning issues with regular saddles. Tried roller saddles, which stayed in tune but had a major impact on tone (thin, tinny, decreased sustain). The graphtech saddles are great for tuning stability and the tone is restored - maybe even better than with the original saddles. After installing these I immediately noticed the guitar was louder acoustically, before I even plugged into an amp. Much richer, deeper tone and great sustain - I would seriously consider installing these even on a guitar that doesn't have a tremolo. I did NOT notice the saddles were particularly fragile installing them like others have mentioned. HIGHLY recommend going to the graphtech web site to make sure you're getting ...
