    I would note buy it if I didn't like it

    It has a crisp clean smell and NOT over powering.... I have been using this product for over 20 years, and I purchased the spray bottle because it can be refilled with a big bottle.... My original spray bottle broke.

    Great scent, but short lived

    This is a very old fashioned scent with citrus notes and a bit of a medicine smell (but in a very good way). The initial application is very powerful, but the dry-down dissipates quickly. There seems to be no residual odor after about 2 hours. Still, it's a very pleasant and traditional fragrance for the time it stays around.

    Fresh!

    It was my first cologne birthday gift when I was 12 yrs old! A German friend from my class gifted it to me. I looked for it again 50 years later and here it is! Still fresh and lovely. It doesn't last as long as other expensive colognes out there but its perfect for every day wear! Just knowing that it's the same recipe used from the Italian (Giovanni Farina) who first invented it, lived in Cologne Germany in the 1700s, makes this cologne unique!

    Disappointed

    For me, the primary fragrance in his product was alcohol. Perhaps it would have been better if I had bought the splash-on. I was disappointed. It just didn't smell like 4711 to me.

    Brings back memories

    Smells just like I remember. Last time I bought this, the cashier has someone else ring up my order. She thought I was purchasing liquor. Still sold in the same unique bottle. Still has the same great scent.
