not bad good price .safe to carry
the last time i purchased this type of item some years ago it leaked around the bottom folded seam. and it put me off from buying again.I used to work with lamps like this on ships many years ago so understand the use of them. these new ones are good but the light is limited however they are much safer than candles. just make sure there is ventilation due to the fumes.

Excellent value if you don't want to be transporting it.
Okay if they are not going to be transported much. Excellent value for money if you just require a lamp to sit in one place. I did buy a second despite having to reassemble the first on the first day I had it (I turned the key too far turning it off, so it disengaged with the wick. I had to take it to bits to refit the wick which was a messy job with a tank full of fuel). Having done this I can see why people would have leakage problems if they were tilted in transit as there is no seal to stop the paraffin from escaping. The fuel tank attaches to the main body by some small slithers of aluminium where the paraffin can easily leak through. Keep them upright and don't move them about too much and they won't leak. Despite many reviews negatively highlighting build quality and an issue with leakage I can say with confidence the 2 that I bought while very light, were robust and did not leak even when being banded around in very high winds. Based on my experience I would recommend these lanterns to add a warm glow to a dark night.
