Fittingly Once More
Messers Kemp, Kemp, Hadley, Keeble and Norman take time back in the studio to record some almost acoustic versions of some of their hits form the 80's such as: "To Cut A Long Story Short", "Gold", "True", "I'll Fly For You", "Only When You Leave", "Through The Barricades", "She Loved Like Diamond", "Communication" and "Lifeline". Whilst it works really well on most tracks, some (like "True") sound almost no-different. And just for good measure you also get two brand new tracks - which stand well on their own merit. If you are a fan of Spandau Ballet or just enjoy well-played laid back and mellow music then this will be a winner and with more plays it comes highly recommended. Sadly many of today's "bands" are nothing of the sort and they don't even have any members who could play a ... Spandau Ballet = Once More (CD2009)
I've only just got into Spandau Ballet although I did like them the first time around and I do have some of their cds from this time period. This cd is absolutely brilliant. Many of their hits are there but they are recorded with a twist. They are recorded with just a guitar and drums on backing. Tony Hadley's voice is as smooth as ever and he hits the high notes with no problem at all. If you are a dedicated Spandau fan you simply must add this cd into your collection.I've only just got into Spandau Ballet although I did like them the first time around and I do have some of their cds from this time period. Spandau Ballet - Once More
I bought this for a friend who could not make the concerts. She was unsure whether she would like the tracks as they had been reworked. I love the CD so decided to buy it so she could give it a chance. I love all the tracks and with some of them like them even more than the originals. I also like the fact there are 2 new tracks. Nothing I dislike about it, maybe an extra with it like the video that was shown at the concerts. Really good buy for any Spandau fan and probably for new ones that don't remember the tracks first time round. spandau ballet once more cd
although some old songs sound a bit on the slow side its a great album. would buy it for friends to introduce them to this group but maybe noy for die hard spandau fans.
