I tried to power it from something that had a host connection (rigol psu) and the buttons did nothing. I powered it from an adapter and it was fine. While the lens is still the weak point and the camera has some rolly shutter jello, it's very workable. I'm actually pretty impressed with the recording of video. I might look for a 0.25x lens to better match what I see in my scope. Pretty happy for the price.
