It worked first go under AlpineLinux 3.21, no fuss, literally plug and play. The module came with spare screws which is handy if you're installing into a computer that lacks them. I don't expect full 802.11ax speeds on such an old netbook, but I'm getting a reasonable 20Mbps, which is a big improvement on the 500kbps speeds I was getting out of the original.
