I saw this picture, I ordered it, I received a different, low-priced edition. I received a prompt, full refund. What I learned: Ask the vendor if you are going to receive the same copy that is shown in the photo. In my 12 years with E-bay, this is the 2nd time I had this experience.

  • Resourcefulness, Faith and Common sense abound in this book.

These days kids have it so easy that half the time they never think about what it would be like to do without their MP3 players or their X boxes or their cell phones. This book is a great way to spend a quiet evening with the games, TV, and phones off and remember that a little more than 100 YEARS ago none of this existed and our fun came from each other and our imaginations. People had to be dependent on themselves and their resourcefulness instead of relying on others. This book is an escape to that era. I love it.

  • Great book for anyone intrested in 'Little House' books

Book is truly like new. Great price. Wonderful photo's of Laura Ingalls and members of her family along with pictures of her real homes. I will pass it on to my grand children. So important for children to understand how our families and people used to live, along with what our country was like, a little history. A picture into the past helps us understand who we are too. There is so much to teach/show children great values.
