    Parallel port Problem Solver

    Excellent solution to my problem. This devise let's me continue to use my old workhorse LaserJet 1300. The usb3 ports on my traded up laptop would not talk to the printer's ancient usb ports. But this devise connected nicely with the printer's parallel port. I didn't have to do anything but connect the laptop to the printer. Not setting adjustments we're required. I plugged tgem in and the printer worked. I couldn't be more pleased. PS: the cable arrived early.

    As advertised

    Installed on a Windows 7 computer simply by plugging it in to a USB port. However, when you install your (old Centronics-interface) printer, make sure you "add a local printer" and select the USB port that was just created. In other words, this device does not create LPT1: on the computer.

    an amazing cable and marries old technology with USB technology

    For years our old HP 5000n sat idle. Our I Mac would not handshake with it. This cable solved this problem.My wife told me to get rid of the printer and for a few bucks we can get cheap printing done again.
