    Great all around film

Kodak gold is looking good these days. Much better than 15 years ago. It has lots of exposure latitude with vibrant yet natural colors. Skin tones are a good selling point of this film. I prefer Kodak gold colours over Fuji superia, which tend to be cooler and more magenta relative to Kodak's warmth. Gold 400 shot at 200 ISO looks great with normal processing times and when shot at 800 ISO it's usable but with noticeably more grain. In my opinion, Kodak Gold 400 and Kodak Colorplus 200 are the two best films for the money in 2016.

Not as Good as Fujifilm Superia X-TRA 400

This film is okay but I have three problems with it: 1. It is not as good as Fujifilm Superia X-TRA 400. 2. It is more expensive than the Fuji 400. 3. It is not easily available, while Walmart stocks the Fuji 400. In summary, why would I order the inferior Kodak online, at a higher cost (plus the shipping), when I could go to a local Walmart and pick up the better Fuji cheaper than the Kodak? Very easy decision to make. I am done with the UltraMax.

  • Kodak UltraMax 400 film

Film packaging arrived new and unopened. It had a fresh date and I already used first roll @ Los Angeles County Fair...I got some great pictures!

  • A DELIGHT FOR AMATEURS

I practicing the old art of analog photography and after switching from Fuji film to Kodak film I found that Kodak UltraMax Gold has incredible picture quality and great resolution. If I need more film definitely I'll usa Kodak again.

  • Great Film for Film Camera

I did not even know 35mm camera film of this caliber was even available! I thought it must be expired or old stock. I was really surprised when I saw, on the film box, the expiration date of 02/18. After shooting a couple of rolls, I was surprised to see sharp photographs having realistic full colors. The camera I am using is a Nikkormat FT N with a 50 mm f 1.12 Nikon lens.
