The bottle I bought was an 100ml 1 Million Lucky tester so it came without a box, the bottle itself & the fragrance inside were fine, however there was a scratch on the front of the shiny silver bottle, this could have been due to shipping. cheap price compared to anywhere else online that I could find for this fragrance. A scent that says comforting, clean, confident and warm
I've had a bottle of vintage Kouros for years, only ever applied lightly because it had a skanky cattleyard/rodeo undertone to its otherwise fresh clean classy scent that was best understated but still hinted at something raw and rough. The new formulation barely has any of that undertone left.. just the vaguest hint. Its now more elegant clean and fresh buit still a heart-warmer. The dirty side to this scent that I wish was still there was probably civet, now replaced with a synthetic that simply doesnt say dirty and dangerous the way animal derived scents can. Even without that Kouros remains classy fresh and masculine even without the powerful hint of an underlying dirty side. The current formula is no more than "reminiscent" of the original. Still "nice" but lacks the awesomeness of the original. The current Kouros is like modern Man: weak, inspid, easily offended, and tamed.As a wearer of the original Kouros in the 1980s I can honestly say that the many reformulations this has undergone over the years has really ripped the guts out of this formerly wonderful mens cologne.
