I ran a battery of benchmarks and high CPU usage loops on Windows 98 running Wintune CPU test and the fan tempurature stayed under or near 100 degress farenheit (not exceeding 105F) on a PIII E600 Coppermine and fairly quickly recovered when the loops completed. (The picture depicts a set of 5 CPU tests [spikes] followed by a set of 9 CPU 100% load tests)
