  • Direct to video - standard 1.33:1 - dolby surround

This direct to video release was, at best, an average film in spite of Theresa Russell's presence in a starring role. Given the film's description, I was expecting an American western. How wrong was I. I was pleasantly surprised to find it a western-like tale set in Revolutionary War England. In spite of this setting, the film could not avoid some cliches commonly associated with westerns in general. Overall, the film is a curiosity and just for period atmosphere is recommended by me.

  • Cattle Drovers Drama in Period

I bought this movie to see Welsh actor Richard Lynch from Caerphilly act. He is very good and has an interesting screen (and stage) persona of strong countenance. His appearance in film is rare. The other characters are good, realistically flawed, and we see a different scenery and a disparate people within the crux of their live’s trials and tribulations. The scenery alone makes it worth seeing and the cast is great. I suggest getting a copy of the dvd before it runs out!
