Some things to keep in mind
I decided against Anderson powerpoles because I personally just found it too difficult to put powerpoles on wires. I needed a DC powerstrip that I can connect on the fly at Field Day without any special tools or techniques. So I decided on banana plugs. I purchased this MFJ DC powerstrip and I also bought fourty banana plugs for about ten dollars. Now I have the option of directly running wires through the holes on the power strip, or terminating the wires with banana plugs that plug into the receptacles on this strip. Works wonderfully, and all I ever need is some wire cutters and wire strippers and I am in business. Capacity is excellent. I am feeding two 100 watt HF transceivers off one single terminal (not that I recommend that!) and it works great. And then there are all the ... And then there are all the other terminals for a variety of accessories like powered watt meter, the remote tuner control, a light, etc. But there are disadvantages to this choice. Namely, with the banana plug system hot wires are somewhat exposed. If it is sitting on the table next to my transceiver, things would go bad quickly if someone spilled a coke on it or dropped a metal tool on it. (With Anderson power poles all metal is completely covered up by the plastic on the plugs.) This is made worse by the fact that the banana plugs I bought are one half all-metal, so whatever juice is in the wire is in the top half of the banana plug. So ... don't throw away the box that this thing comes in! It makes the perfect safety cover! Either place the power strip inside the box, run the wires out the ends, and then close the box, or (as I did) cut off the lid and just use the box as a cover over the power strip.
