Speco Throttle Cable
The quality of this cable assembly is first class and the delivery of it was great. However, I used the cable in the exact same way as the set up of a HZ Holden V8. This install requires the cable to bend through two sixty degree (appox) turns in an S shape to connect with the carby. The two bends added friction / resistance to the cable and it became so difficult to use, the amount of pressure applied to the pedal was uncomfortable. If the return springs were slackened off the feel was still overly heavy and the carby did not return to the idle position (fantastic with a few hundred horse power being controlled). I ended up using a factory Holden cable which looked flimsy in comparison but worked perfectly. No doubt the Speco cable would work well in a straight line or possibly in one ...
