Warum die Versandkosten bei 10 € sind, wenn das Teil aber im Minigrip-Beutel, statt in der abgebildeten Kartonverpackung geliefert wurde, wundert mich etwas. Da ist wohl der Paketdienst zu teuer. Nice quality, but tricky to install
I like these engine bars. They look good fitted and suit the bike, but they are tricky to fit for what they are. Although only three bolts per side, one of them is a (very) long bolt through the centre stand and exhaust mount. It's a very tight fit and needs to be drifted all the way out, so you need a very long drift. Also the bolt is re-used, so you can't be too rough with it to get it out. The spacers in the centre mount holes need to be in position when you offer the bars into place, as you can't get them into position afterwards, and they slip out of position easily, meaning it's a fiddly job to get all of the bolts lined up. It would be easy to strip a thread in the (top two) engine mount holes if they aren't absolutely spot on. Finally, you can't access this centre mounting hole ... I like these engine bars. Good quality protection bars.
Bars are solid, have a good weight indicating good quality steel. They were easy to fit and I am very happy with them. There is a good clearance from the gear shift and they tuck in close to the bike. I did worry about the clearance before I purchased them , I worried for nothing. I would buy again and i highly recommend them to anyone looking for these type of bars. MT 09 . Good fit & look great
Look great now fitted but instructions need to be clearer for example, there is no mention that the lower bar fitting on the gear change side requires the removal of a long nut and bolt which requires a spanner at both ends and very long, flexible arms or another person to help. Other than that, I'm very pleased now there on the bike.

A tall screen thats top quality
This screen is 69 cm from top to bottom the standard tracer screen is 48 cm, so this is a lot taller. It also a lot wider and is shaped to clear the handguards. It fits onto the Yamaha adjustable mountings on a fitting which moves it 5 cm further forward and can be raised about 4 cm from the lowest setting.I am 6ft 5 and dont have it on the highest position All the fittings are supplied and the instructions are easy to follow. It may not be considered as stylish as the factory original screen but is far more effective. It has a warning sticker about use over 80km in strong winds so far I havnt had a problem. I bought it after looking a various makes it is probably the tallest on the market, but reasoned that if it was too tall I could always cut it down from the top. See youtube re cutting ... Been thinking about fitting a touring screen since I bought my bike but didn't really want to spoil the look. Lived with the standard screen for 2500 miles but decided it just had to go. Went for the Givi as it looked good and I knew I could depend on the quality based on other products bought. Piece of cake to fit and it is superb. Looks great and has totally transformed my bike.
