Purchasing this as a replacement, I am amazed at how efficient it is. I can cook chips from potatoes in about 18 minutes, roast potatoes about 20 minutes and frozen chips in 13 minutes. My old air fryer couldn't roast and frozen chips took about 25 minutes ! Brilliant ! It's also easy to clean, just take out the crisping plate, wipe any excess oil out of the pan and put the whole pan and plate in the dishwasher, again much easier than my old machine. All said and done, extremely satisfied and would thoroughly recommend.

I wanted an air fryer with ceramic coating as most air fryers have Teflon, and Teflon is susceptible to degradation under high heat and also in my experience trap odours and oil residue, something I do not experience with my ceramic saucepans. Ninja is one of few brands offering ceramic coating. Unfortunately with Ninja the element is riveted in so I was reluctant to buy because I want to be able to remove the element to clean the blades and element. The refurbished AF100 arrived nicely packed in a large unbranded box with an envelope of Quick Start and manual. It looked spotless with exception of the crisper plate/tray. I saw other reviews mention a stock inavailability of replacement crisper plate/tray as theirs had arrived with defects/small chips and had sought replacement from Ninja under warranty. Indeed the Ninja website is showing they are out of stock, and the one I received has some small chips indicated in the photo. About power consumption. I have a gas oven and could not find exact measurement but it takes approximately 1 hr to bake chicken thighs at 200°C. I measured power consumption of Ninja, 20 minutes to cook chicken thighs used 372 kWh electricity which is about 3x more expensive than gas. So no actual savings just a less hot kitchen and quicker cooking time. I have a small kitchen but the Ninja is lightweight enough for me to move onto the counter when I need to use it. I like that it does not beep incessantly when it is done. The panel buttons have click with a membrane surface, I'd prefer a touch surface that can be cleaned and less parts that can fail. White LEDs are quite bright. Mains cable is short but nice thick silicone. I suggest plugging into dedicated cooker outlet and not usual mains socket as some have complained it trips the breaker. As for cleaning I found it had same issue as Teflon saucepans, that even after several washes with fresh dish soap and hot water there was an oily residue. I suspect it's because of the higher heat intensity than a ceramic saucepan would be normally exposed to. I could only remove it with white wine vinegar water solution diluted 1:1. This annoyed me a little as the tray and pan itself is lightweight and easy to fit into the sink. If you are concerned about reheated oils in your food this is another consideration. So in all be aware of what you are buying and some of the risks. I rated 3/5 because of the tray defects, the riveted element. It's a good air fryer that could use some refinements or healthy competition in the non-Teflon market. Read full review

This air fryer produces great chips! I previously had another top brand which had a larger capacity, but unfortunately, the chips were not as good as the Ninja. Even my husband loves the chips from the Ninja. It is easy to clean and more compact. Love it!

After alot of research I decided on the Ninja AF100 Air Fryer. It cooks food quickly and so easy to clean. I wanted grey rather than black and it is super stylish with an easy to use digital display and rather compact. It comes with a good instruction leaflet and also as cooking ideas with times etc. I handwashed the tray and it can also be used in the dishwasher. Very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend.

It's a big lump, takes a lot of room in my storage cupboard, but being single, if I'm careful, can cook a complete meal for myself in 10--15 minutes. rather than using the Microwave in short cooking 'bursts' and being dry heat, no steam to fog the glasses! Very little oil needed, so very much the healthier option. Easy to clean as well -- another bonus! Wish I'd bought one of these ages ago.
