  • Any student of the Word must get this book

For any student of the Bible that truly wants to grasp some of the intricate Jewish idioms and legends along with life-long Rabbinical concepts on the Old Testament than this is a must! Joseph Telushkin writes with a very entertaining and easy to understand style which brings you into the mindset of a Hebraic way of exegesis. He explains Rabbinic traditions, accepted views of exegesis for certain scriptures and will also have you as a Judea-Christian saying "wow! I never thought of that before!" As a long time student and scholar of the Word of God this is a must in my library of over 4,000 books! No other book allows you so easily into the systematic thinking of Jewish Rabbi's and their approach to the Bible.

  • Excellent

Telushkin puts the Old testament in relavence. Recognizable history and Geopolitics in a contemporary perspective.
