    Not what the Old Original was made like.

    Poor workmanship to say the least, must have gotten rid of their Quality Control Dept. The adjustable portion fit like a saddle on a sow. I'll find one of the older ones at a yard sale.

    Family Tradition

    I think it was in the 1960s my dad purchased this slicer from a man selling them on the street. When I use it, it always reminds me of my dad and cooking in the kitchen with him. He used to make the best onion rings. He would ask me to slice the onions as thin as I could. And this slicer does the job. Today I ordered my second one to slice potatoes, cucumbers, etc. Sometimes when you're adjusting the height of slicer, it feels like it needs WD40 but other than that it outdoes my Pampered Chef all the time.

    Nice slicer

    Seems to be a decent slicer. The only issue I had was that it is a little less stable than some more modern units...but I like this slicer and it does the job!

    Love it!

    I have one that is about 45 years old and it still works fantastic, but I was afraid that I might need another at some point so I purchased another one. My Mom bought my first one for me, because she loved hers. The blade has stayed extremely sharp all these years. I use it at least 3 times a week. Thank you Femster's for an awesome product that lasts forever!
