The story of myself and multi effects is almost biblical in length and thus the expurgated package is presented. To me the idea of chaining about 7 pedals together to do what one can is insane, truly why bother? So I get through my last 3 pedals, having discovered boss make great pedals I start my boss journey with an ME50. Simpler solid and sounds great, every switch and button does what it says. Then playing in bands and wanting a genuine glory pedal for wailing leads and copying techno stuff on guitar I buy the GT-8. Without a doubt the worst pedal decision I could make. Complicated, easy to screw up and hard to get right. This counter intuitive monster shall be the first to take a human life if machines ever become self aware. So I go back to bass and get the ME50 for that band then start playing lead with yet another band and then I put my foot down. The GT-8 is the enemy of the average guitarist. Sure, there are guys on youtube who have programmed their GT-8's to drive a car and do internet banking but they are otherwise unemployed anoraks who peddle twiddle 20+ hours a day. 7 days a week, and they are still "perfecting their sound". So I need a pedal and I read 3 or 4 reviews and buy this one sight unseen. Immediately we meld, sort of like pouring honey into honey, just golden sweetness and light. The preamps are good, they sound like the real thing, or near enough. The addition of a compression pedal as pedal 1 takes the broad art of compression and signal uniformity and makes it very tailorable. Then the OD/Dist pedal, Modulation (chorus flanger etc) and delay do exactly what those pedals should. All topped off with a good reverb and sensitive eq dials in the preamp section means you can whip up a good sound in seconds. A big plus is dials, things that spin round. Toes can do these, the double tap bring up digital display hold these 2 at the same time on the GT-8 trapped me, the ME70 saved me. I am freer than Nelly Furtados bird. The expression pedal does many things, octaver, wah and so on and so forth. I think the initial clunk to get the pedal working (activate) is heavy and requires sometimes 2 thumps to bring it to life, that said when you get over this minor hurdle (I have a weak leg from a motorcycle accident) it performs admirably. I've owned many boss pedals. They are built from tank armour. They have all had beer and rum spilt on them as well as the odd umbrella drink (what chicks drink) and they are all still going strong. I have mates who have different pedal and none of them are as heavy as the boss (this is a minus at the end of the night). Mine came without a power supply but I had boss ones already. Don't use batteries, it chews through them, get one off ebay from the UK where they do 240v power as well and glue it to a UK/AUS adaptor. This pedal can do everything within reason a guitarist would want. We do soul/funk to middle of the road rock and some heavier rock as well and I get every sound I want. 10/10Read full review
It's great. If your on a budget and you need a multi effects unit I'd easily recommend this. It's relatively inexpensive and boy do you get bang for your buck! It's got everything from a compressor to a tuner built in. Plus it's super easy to use and looks good to. The quality of effects are none shy of the traditional Boss style. I also love the fact that you can program multiple effects into one single pedal, so each pedal can trigger multiple effects at the same time. From gigging to Worship this has you covered.

I really like this pedal board. The features that is comes with are awesome. Everything from Cabinet Simulators like full Marshall Stacks and Messa Boogie rigs, to full Stereo Output. With stereo output your phasers and chorus effects sound interstellar. Another amazing feature that I use all the time is the Looper. You can lay down a rhythm track and keep adding to it with as many lead riffs and bass lines as you like. Great for composing and getting down ideas instantly. There are many inbuilt pre-sets and room for your own as well. There are online groups dedicated to this pedal board who share their settings for specific sounds. If you want to sound like Hendrix on 'Hey Joe' Just download the settings and copy them to a slot to have them forever. I recommend this more than any other pedal I have used or sold. It has at least a couple of thousand dollars in individual pedals if you add them all up and runs on one power supply and lead. +++ This is very sturdy and will take a beating even when jumped on and kicked of stage it still performs flawlessly.Read full review
