    • Konica Minolta Maxxum AF MZ 28 mm - 105 mm

Technically there is no such lens. "Konica Minolta" branded lenses were made from 2003-2006. At that time they had discontinued the 28-105mm, and were selling a 24-105mm lens instead. The 24-105mm lens is a great lens - I wrote a rave review of it. The Minolta Maxxum 28-105mm lens is also a fantastic lens (though you won't find the name "Konica" on any of them). It was made when Minolta's build quality was at a peak, and the complex design takes no shortcuts. Heavy, solid, and reliable, the lens was built to last for decades. Prices have trended upwards over time, and now they regularly go for over $100.

    • 28-105 1994 lens has great image quality

I needed a bit more range and liked the lightweight of this model so I purchased this model of the Minolta 28-105 lens, this one made in 1994. It is a non-XI version and rated higher than that model. Sharpness and color are great although not as sharp as the 35-105 I have but pretty close to it. If I need the extra range I will use this lens. Has the superb color of a Minolta lens. Very well priced also.

    • I am holding for camera

I found another vendor on E-Bay that mis lead me to believe I was purchasing a camera that was complete but it did not include Batteries (Which added a considerable amount of cost to the camera). I am looking for another camera that will fit this lens and have not found one yet. I tried to reason with this vendor and I think they are giving me time to purchase the lens, but they have threatened to 'block' me if I do not buy this lens right away. I do not know what to do until I can find a camera that fits this lens. Can you give me a suggestion? Will I have to pay restocking fees even though I did not finalize the purchase? This does not seem fair. I am sorry I was mis led and this other vendor is suffering a lost sale because the Camera salesman mis-led me. Please help.

    • Minolta 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 Maxxum Lens

This lens is a really under-appreciated gem. Sharpness, color rendition, and build quality are almost as good as the best of the consumer-level Minolta lenses. (This 28-105 can be differentiated from the restyled newer version by the focus ring. The older version has a smooth ring. The newer has a ribbed ring. The newer version, while a good lens, doesn't compare quite as well.) Compared to the legendary 28-135, it just barely misses on sharpness. But the 28-105 weighs only 2/3 what the 28-135, uses somewhat cheaper and more common 62mm filters vs 72mm on the 28-135, and at an average price that's less than half that of the 28-135, this 28-105 is a real bargain.
