The Apple iMac A1311 21.5-inch desktop computer is a machine that is perfect for work or school use, gaming, and streaming video. The CPU of this iMac consists of a speedy 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo E7600, which runs with efficiency. With each core sharing space on a single chip, there is an L2 cache that has 3MB of shared cache on the CPU on the 3.06 GHz processor. With the Turbo Boost, this iMac can run up to 3.33 GHz. Its Intel processor has a 1066 MHz system bus and 4GB of PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM random access memory, or RAM. These components mean your Mac will operate well and can handle virtually anything you throw at it. This iMac desktop can run numerous functions at once without slowing down. The hard drive is a 500GB serial ATA drive and ensures that you will have room for saving documents, pictures, videos, and games. This version of iMac runs via the Mac OS X 10.6.1 Snow Leopard operating system, but it is compatible with the OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion if you want to upgrade. The monitor has a 21.5-inch wide-screen LED-backlit TFT Active Matrix LCD display with a resolution of 1920 by 1200. The graphics processing unit, or GPU, operates through an integrated NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics unit with 256MB of shared memory. The GPU is powerful enough to run complex games without crashing or freezing. The display delivers bright, vivid colors, amazing clarity, and an overall awesome picture. Built-in speakers on the bottom of the monitor screen provide fantastic audio. While the specs on this system are excellent, if you want to customize or upgrade your Mac desktop, it is easy to do. There are additional ports for adding RAM and extra memory, and you can easily change out the graphics card. If you want to run a dual display, the Mini DisplayPort can support up to a 30-inch monitor with a resolution of 2560 by 1600. There are four additional USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire 800 port, built-in AirPort Extreme Wi-Fi, and Gigabit Ethernet. The built-in SuperDrive optical media drive writes DVD-R, DVD+R, and DVD+RW discs, and beside it is an SD card slot. With the number of connectivity options, you'll have room for your favorite accessories. The all-in-one models, including this late-2009 iMac desktop, have a slim aluminum profile that will fit easily on nearly any work space. When paired with the wireless keyboard and multitouch Magic Mouse from Apple, you will not have to worry about cords and cables getting tangled. Whether you will be using this computer for work, gaming, streaming video, or getting information from the internet, the Apple iMac A1311 model makes it easy.     A Very Large but Excellent Computer that Works Perfectly and Was Very Easy to Set Up and Use

    I am learning how to use Apple Mac computers (I now have two of them) as I have used PCs for many years and Apples are different but are more user friendly! I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the 21.5" screen with all the computer system built-in to it and really like the OS X El Capitan system it is loaded into the computer as I can now get the latest Apple apps from the Apple Store; as well as to download several programs from the internet which I enjoy. My other older Macbook is also an older OS X (Lion) and I cannot download many of the apps I want because of the age of the computer system and I cannot upgrade the system either so it's fairly useless to me, but this one (even though there is a lot to learn as I switchover from PC Windows to Mac) does the trick perfectly for ...

    My iMac

    I love this machine, easy to use, and it looks as though it was well cared for. I am new to iMacs, having been a PC user for many years, but what I have found is that these machines are well made and that is why I am slowly switching to the Mac. If you want a good machine this is it, do the research and find a good one that is working well and shows very little wear. When you find one, don't think about it, just get it, you won't be sorry.

    Do it! It’s awesome!

    I would easily recommend this computer to anyone! It’s such a great tool for multitasking! You can work on school projects and communicate with ease via the iMessage app. Movies look great on it and the built in speakers are powerful enough to fill a small apartment with sound! It’s had less issues than any of my recent apple purchases!! And I haven’t had any issues that “support” hasn’t resolved! I love it!

    iMac - not completely happy

    Received it as scheduled. iMacs are great computers. When selling refurbished you should show all blemishes/dents. Rounded corners were dented in and not shown on any photos. CHEAP keyboard and mouse you included do not work! Happy with machine itself but you need to be more honest with what you include. Paperwork for these machines should also be included. That would have been nice as well.
