    Original Heavyweight Ballast Works Like a Charm

    We have 3 florescent light fixtures in our basement that are 30+ years old. When the ballasts go out, it's important to replace them with original equipment. I couldn't find this part locally, so I took the advice of someone at the local lumber yard and replaced it with a newer, lightweight ballast. It lasted about 30 minutes. So I was beyond thrilled to find these on eBay. I bought a pair, because it's only a matter of time before another one goes bad.

    Satisfied with how it works

    This Ballast works well, but the product description said that it was new. It obviously had been mounted onto something, as the mounting side was rusted and the mounting holes were bent. The price was good, and it works. But it was not new.

    Great value

    Product was very easy to install; much easier than a new light. I had a momentary concern when I turned on the light and had an annoying humming. Went away as soon as ballast warned up. Product is now working great.

    Works

    Not to sure about it being new, it did have signs like it was used but I am not sure, it did work but I had to splice in pieces of wires from old ballast due to the fact the wires where way to short to reach the ends.

    nothing beats the OEM replacement part!

    Easy to replace since it was an OEM replacement part. Wire for wire and no need for schematic. Plus original parts last longer than newer compatible ones.
