NOTE: there is probably more than one wire in that has power. Test them with a voltage meter. Your radar detector must have 12v to work. I initially had the red wire connected to a circuit that only had 9 volts, and that *DOESN'T* work. Also note that even with the same make and model, the color of YOUR wires might be different. Go by wire position, not wire color.
