    I enjoyed the book but was looking for a gift for a person just starting in the kitchen. I will keep the book and will happily try the Greek Octopus

    It covers a diverse recipe collection. It covers many things that do not pique my interest. It is well written but it's too complex for someone who is not a "foodie."

    Sous Vide is so limited the expense is not worth it.

    There is minimal guidance and recipes for this style of cooking. The book is a good cook book with good divisions. I followed the recipe for sirloin to the letter. None of the steaks were edible. Very disappointed.
