even if you don't like drawing Marvel Comics still well worth it
after all these years still one of best and most complete how to draw books you can get, I own a lot of drawing books and this one I will keep handy all the time, it's mostly artwork and brief explanations, covers drawing tools, basic drawing techniques with shapes, drawing in perspective, line of action poses, drawing the body, drawing the head for both male and female, composing scenes and story boarding sort of, inking and contrasting colors, types of shots, what more can you ask?after all these years still one of best and most complete how to draw books you can get, I own a lot of drawing books and this one I will keep handy all the time, it's mostly artwork and brief explanations, covers drawing tools, basic drawing techniques with shapes, drawing in perspective, line of action poses, drawing the body, drawing the head for both male and female, composing scenes and story boarding sort of, inking and contrasting colors, types of shots, what more can you ask?

Pros give aspiring artists tips on their favorite characters, sums this book up. Not a lot of how to here when it comes to drawing, You do get basic design tips on many of Marvel Comics most popular characters. Along with the tips artist offer comments and insights. Great for fans of the books.

The best how to draw book for comic art
I first owned How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way when I was about nine years old in the late 1980's, and thought it was a pretty good guide on how to draw. Now that I'm older (and I hope wiser) I realize that it is more than a "pretty good" guide. Over the years I've owned a lot of different books on "How to Draw Comics" by various companies and people, and none of them hold a candle to this guide. John Buscema might be the most underrated artist in the history of comics, and his art was clean and crisp and you almost never hear his name mentioned by anyone when great artists are discussed. Other books show you picture and tells you that how you do it, but this book shows you several different pictures so you can see the actual development process. If anyone is interested in getting ... Fits wonderfully on the shelf. Has great presentation, along with lots of useful info. Came highly recommended, I would have to agree it is a great read/study. I surely have gotten plenty of use out of this book so far and could see myself referencing it for years to come.

This is the original book on drawing comic art. Two legends in the field--Big John Buscema and pop star Stan "the Man" Lee. It is simple, fun and informative. Yes, there are other more detailed books and publications out there, but this book is what started it all. Great for beginners and as a refresher. I just re-read it as an adult and learned a few things and got a few reminders. Great stuff---nuff said.This is the original book on drawing comic art.
