It is really too bad more people avoid reading the instructions for this machine. It is a wonderful little piece of computerized wonder. It can even be used on the countertop or on a over the bed table situation for convalescent use in hospital. All that must be done to accomplish this is DO NOT plug in the foot control and only use the push button on the front of the machine. The threading of the spool is accomplished with no effort if you read the first few pages of the instruction manual. The eyelet stitch is accomplished in an unusual fashion as you must first plant the needle in the location you want the eyelet and then lower the pressure foot onto the fabric. The eyelet then completes to the original position. Without this procedure the eyelet is not a complete circle. I like this machine so much I have two one as a parts machine as I want to sew on this one for as long as I can. Two comments, do not buy this one if you break things easily as there is a plastic cover over the thread spool area which is delicate. And if you are unwilling to read and learn a new process for a different little machine then pass this one up. It is unique.Read full review
I've owned a very similar model and I love the automatic tread cassette, but this used model seems to have an issue in the automatic threader. Item description said tested but I would beg to differ.
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: New
I had been checking out this machine for quite some time (several months) from several different dealers. A friend of mine owns one and boasts about hers all the time. Well I'm now as happy as her and on my way to making two darling quilts for twins waiting to be born - pleasurable experience dealing with E-Bay and the price was the best yet. Gotta go - sewing to do!
I like the many features but do not have them down yet and can not seem to make the needle threader work which is the main reason I wanted it --also having some trouble with the tension it does not seem to change with the knob but I still have a lot of reading to do
I like the product. I had bought one new 5 years ago and had to sell it due to loss of job a few months later. I love that it threads the needle. A great machine. Not top of the line but a great basic to mid-range machine
