Hello, this item only had 1 lens, not lenses plural and it did come with a cap, you might be confusing it with some other item that had multiple lenses and no caps but that is not my item.

Easy to use, fun creative set of features, excellent picture quality!
This is a $300 camera I bought for $169 on ebay, so value for the money is higher than a 5 to me. It was given high ratings on dpreview.com and is one of the top cameras in its class. So having read that, I bought it. I've been more than satisfied with is performance, picture quality, and ability to shoot video (and slow motion video - 240fps!). I also shoot on a Canon Rebel Xti, which is a larger DSLR, so going out to the zoo or park with the family is a lot easier with this smaller camera. I really have to laugh at some people going out with their loved ones and some DSLR with a big lens like they're on some kind of safari. I've learned that to enjoy the outing, you have to leave the photographer behind and bring the husband (me). This compact camera allows me and my wife to get the ... This compact camera allows me and my wife to get the shots whenever we're out and not spend any time focusing on being the photographer. It just shoots when you need it to, which is pretty quick in good lighting, but kind of slow in low lighting - like any camera, tho, it's shutter speed slows down and per/picture capture time can be slow, but it has an aperture of f2.2, so it grabs pretty good video and photos in low light. With the help of it's low energy use CMOS sensor as well, photos come together with very little noise (low energy use means sensor doesn't heat up like CCD sensors causing digital noise artifacts). Once you get the hang of its functions, which are designed quite well and clean and fast to learn, there is much to like. So far, I haven't disliked anything about it. Battery time is good. Up time is fast. Shoot time delay from pressing shutter is very low like I explained.

Home inspectors need a reliable camera. This one passed many 'drop tests'.
This is my 4th sd4000. I am a home inspector, and easily take 100 photos a day. I bought 2 of these new when they first came out because they were rated as very good in low light conditions. I take a lot of photos in attics and crawlspaces, so this is an important feature. I keep a spare camera, card, battery and charger in my glove box. First one lasted almost a year, which is very good for a home inspector. Attics and crawlspaces are very dirty. After about the 3rd drop onto concrete (and numerous on dirt) the flash stopped working. Brought out the glove box spare and bought a new spare for the glove box. I have dropped these cameras from several feet onto concrete with no (functional) damage. However, this one fell out of the attic 12 feet to a garage floor and broke the ... This is my 4th sd4000. Quality small package, great shots and movies even in low light!
I am a techie and a confirmed DSLR user - I have about 10 of them - but my wife needs something less "fiddly" and much more compact. I had not found a replacement for her 5mp HP M425 that both she and I liked - the quality of the full resolution shots from that camera kept me buying them on ebay so she always had one, as they were dropped at the beach or other harm befell them - until this small Canon. A different shape factor than the HP, but takes up about the same amount of space, great quality stills even in low light, and 720p movies - a worthy replacement with more advanced features that I appreciate, but easy for her to use.I am a techie and a confirmed DSLR user - I have about 10 of them - but my wife needs something less "fiddly" and much more compact. Simply amazing.
First, I must state that my old camera is about 4 years old, so my enthusiasm must be tempered by the fact that I have no other experience with modern cameras, ... BUT! This things low light capability is unreal. That's why I bought it in the first place, but it is so much better than I could have hoped for. I use It mostly for museums and "live" bands in bars, and it is superb with the flash switched off. in "good" light it is as good, or better than my old Canon, or even my (older yet) Konica 35mm, SLR. The video abilities are more than anyone can ever ask for for a "primarily" still camera, and are better than my 2 year old Sony Camcorder. If there are any "real" downsides to this camera (compared to other point and shoots), I have yet to find them, I couldn't be happier, ...
