Kowa Genesis (Prominar XD) 8.5x44 binocular - great binoculars - highly recommended.
The Kowa Genesis 8.5x44 is sharp and bright with virtually no aromatic aberration or visual distortion. Eye placement and the viewing experience is comfortable. The front of the binocular is also threaded and the person I bought it from generously included a pair of UV filters for lens protection for tromping through the woods. Some people might have a problem with the slightly heavier weight, but i don't as I carry it with wide straps across my shoulders.
