Door to door salesmen aren't usually associated with changing lives. This made-for-cable tells the story of salesman Bill Porter who came into contact with numerous people during his decades of knocking on doors. Porter, suffering from cerebral palsy, didn't allow his condition to stop him from pursuing a career, and his story touched the heart of many of his potential customers. Often, his clientele would be presented with difficulties of their own that Porter's triumphant story would serve as inspiration to ignite change. Porter is played by William H. Macy in this biographical portrait. Macy also collaborated on the script with director Steven Schachter to see this personal project through. The pair also brought the mystery thriller A SLIGHT CASE OF MURDER to the small screen.

A "feel good" movie from start to finish.
This was a heartwarming movie, based on a true life story. (Ensure you have tissues close by.) William Macy does an amazing job at playing the role of a man with Cerebral Palsy, gaining your interest and compassion, all at the same time. The main character, Bill Porter, has an amazing life story because of his will and drive to live life to the fullest, despite his limitations. At the end of the movie, you are filled with a sense of a life well spent, and encouragement. I highly recommend this movie, and am glad I own it.
