With a 14.4 kbps fax speed, this External Fax Modem quickly transfers your documents. Missing a phone call is not possible as this USRobotics Modem has 56K compatibility with local analog phone line. This External Fax Modem has RS-232 interface, which uses lower voltage, regulating the strength of signal. The USRobotics USR5686E, with V.42 bis/MNP 5 data compression, enhances throughput without altering the transmission speed.
