    This parts is made for GEN 1 SBC 5/8 pickup tube. However I bought it for my Gen 2 SBC LT1 engine with the 3/4 pickup tube (1993-1997 camaro/Firebird) and with a little longer bolt it worked PERFECTLY. I didn't have to weld and ruin my pickup tube/pump housing, just don't forget to use the locking nut that is provided with the retainer. 100% satisfied with this design. A+.
